Sasha Weigel, CNM, NP

Sasha Weigel, a Certified Nurse-Midwife, has been working with pregnant women for the last decade. She became a Certified Birth Doula in 2009 and Certified Lactation Counselor in 2011. In 2003, she received her first Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History at Skidmore College and returned to NYU Rory Myers College of Nursing for a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 2011. She worked at NYU Langone Medical Center/Tisch Hospital for nearly 4 years as a Labor & Delivery nurse and Mother-Baby/Postpartum nurse. She completed her Masters of Midwifery graduate program at NYU Rory Myers College of Nursing in May 2018. Sasha joined Downtown Women in 2019.

To Sasha, it really matters that every patient feels safe and heard; that she finds her power to make decisions about her body and health, and that she senses the respect and dignity that is conferred by diligent and compassionate care. Sasha Weigel offers OB care from pregnancy through postpartum, as well as GYN care throughout the lifespan.
