Dr. Leslie Gruss was a founding partner of Downtown Women OB/GYN and has been practicing gynecology here since 1990. She specializes in the management of abnormal pap smears, testing for the human papilloma virus (HPV), and performs many of the practice’s colposcopies and Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedures (LEEP). Dr. Gruss has limited her practice to one day per week doing second opinions for abnormal pap smears, performing colposcopies and leep procedures and pessaries.
Dr. Gruss received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979 and her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1983. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 1987 and was Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989.
She serves on the Board of Brick by Brick whose mission is to create partnerships to improve education, health, and economic opportunity in East Africa. She volunteer tutors at The Door – A Center of Alternatives whose mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and caring environment.
